Rates and Information
Upland hunting membership represents our most exclusive offering at Orvis Hill Country Shooting Grounds. Individual memberships start at $2,500 annually with a one-time initiation fee of $3,500, while corporate memberships are available for $6,000, granting access for up to five company representatives. Membership also extends privileges to Orvis Sandanona in New York and Orvis Pursell Farms in Alabama, offering a wider range of hunting and shooting opportunities.

Do I need to be a member to hunt upland at Orvis Hill Country?

What types of hunts are available?
Members can enjoy traditional upland field hunts as well as European-style driven pheasant and continental shoots.
What's included in a guided hunt?
All hunts include an experienced guide, trained birddogs, and access to our cultivated fields designed for optimal bird cover.
What is the difference between a traditional upland hunt and a European-style shoot?
Traditional upland hunts involve walking fields with a guide and trained birddogs to flush birds. European-style driven shoots feature birds released from a high point, simulating classic English estate shooting.
Can I bring my own dog?
Yes, members may bring their own well-trained dogs, provided they are steady to flush and under control.
What game birds can I hunt?
Our upland hunting experience includes a mixed bag of pheasant, chukar, and quail.

I brought my boys out to Orvis Hill Country for the one day wing shooting school. The land and facilities are really great – you’d be hard pressed to find a more beautiful spot to spend the day shooting. But the people are really what made it so incredible. Friendly, hospitable and helpful.
