Moving from open field edges into the woods, shooters experience varied topography, state-of-the-art traps, and stunning views of the northern Blue Ridge. With additional Wobble trap options each round is tailored for the best possible experience.

Membership Rates and Information
Sporting clays at Orvis Hill Country is open to the public. Reservations are required to shoot with a trapper. Memberships offer preferred rates on Sporting Clays, Wobble, and Instruction, with individual memberships available for $200 and family memberships for $325. Members also receive access to exclusive events and special pricing at Orvis Sandanona and Orvis Pursell Farms.

Do I need to be a member to shoot sporting clays?
No, our sporting clays course is open to the public, but members enjoy preferred rates and exclusive benefits.
Is a reservation required to shoot?
No, reservations are not required for shooters using our automated system. If requesting a trapper, please call the clubhouse at 717-253-9665 at least 24 hours in advance.
What types of courses are available?
Our facility features a 15-station sporting clays course, as well as Wobble trap, providing a variety of challenges for all skill levels.
Can beginners participate?
Absolutely! Our course is designed for all skill levels to ensure a great experience.
How long does a round of sporting clays take?
A typical round of sporting clays takes about 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on the size of your group and experience level.
Do I need to bring my own shotgun?
You’re welcome to bring your own, but rental shotguns are available if needed.
Is ammunition available on-site?
Yes, we offer a selection of shotgun shells for purchase.
